Five Years – Five Lives 1914-1918
The Museum of Hungarian Agriculture participates in a tender organized by The Public Fund for Central and East European History and Society Research with the project entitled Five Years – Five Lives, which includes our Send an Image programme.
The five years of the Great War will be presented through the account of a fictional family. 2014 will see a commemoration of the young conscript, 2015 the mother as the head of the family, 2016 the grandparents, 2017 the wounded father and 2018 will concentrate on the reunited family. The members of this family mosaic will hopefully make wartime experiences accessible and more relatable to the modern audience.
In the autumn of 2014 the photos and documents sent in for the Send an Image project will be exhibited in a commemorative diorama and the participants will be welcome to a discussion and award ceremony.
