Do you have a photo about Hungarian peasants participating in World War I, or about everyday life in the trenches or on the home front?
The Museum of Hungarian Agriculture, commemorating the centenary of the breakout of World War I, announces a competition to collect digital photographs and digitalized documents, with the title World War I and the Countryside.
We welcome our visitors to send us material about the role Hungarian peasants on the frontline and their families on the home front played in the conflict. Please send such photos, taken during the war, according to the guidelines given below until 15 October 2014.
We kindly ask you to furnish the material with necessary background data, such as the name of the persons involved, the place or occasion of the event on the picture, or how the document was created.
The images can be rated by visitors to the site, and will be finally evaluated by an expert jury. Results will be announced on 20 October 2014.
Awards: those who send in the three highest rated photos or documents as well as the readers’ choice will win a free family entrance ticket as well as books and other presents.
